# Contact the Onlook team

> Send a report or an idea from inside Onlook, or email us, and what to include so we can help.

## Send feedback from the app

To reach us without leaving Onlook, send a report.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the report form">
    In a project, click **Help** at the bottom of the left rail and choose **Send feedback**. Or, from the menu bar, choose **Help** → **Report a Problem…** or **Share an Idea…**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Say what it is">
    Under **What is this?**, choose **A problem** or **An idea**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Describe it">
    Under **What happened?**, say what you did, what you expected, and what happened instead.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Send it">
    Choose **Send report**. You'll see **Thanks for the report** when it's gone. If it can't go out straight away, it waits and goes out as soon as it can.
  </Step>
</Steps>

The report includes your message, your Onlook version and an anonymous ID so we can find what went wrong. Nothing from your project is included.

## Email us

Email [contact@onlook.com](mailto:contact@onlook.com). Use email if you want to attach a screenshot, or if the report form says it can't send.

## What to include

* **The exact message you saw.** Copy it word for word if you can.
* **What you were doing** just before it happened.
* **A screenshot** of the screen, if you're emailing.
* **Your Onlook version.** It's at the bottom of the sidebar on the projects screen.

Don't send code, `.env` files or passwords. We don't need them to help.
